New Blog / Switch to Ghost

Over the past few days I have been going back and forth on whether or not I wanted to keep using WordPress. One of the greatest headaches when dealing with WordPress is the sheer number of vulnerabilities you need to dance around with it being both the largest blog platform on the Internet and being extensively modified by plug-ins. Even some of the most basic free themes available for WordPress require different plug-ins to operate which means adding code that has an opportunity to introduce new vulnerabilities to the table.

My blog is not meant to be a major publication platform nor is it meant to be a website with a ton of functionality. It's a way for me to get my thoughts and ideas out there while also writing a bit about my personal life. As a result, I decided to make the switch to Ghost.

Ghost is a rather simple blogging platform. It prides itself on doing one thing and doing it well. Overall it is cheaper and easier for me to manage.
