# New Website

I've launched this brand new website and am in the process of setting up the look and feel for it. Decided to make the switch to Grav now that I am realizing just how great it is as a CMS. It'll take some time to build out exactly what I am looking for in this, but I am feeling great about it.

## Streaming Stuff

I am hopefully returning to streaming within the next week or so. One of the limitations right now is there are things about my job that are in flux right now. I would rather wait to actually start a schedule until after all of that is sorted out. Good things are happening, but they take time to happen.

With that being said, I am exploring the different routes I can go with controlling the stream on Linux. OBS is obviously the way to go, but there are a lot of different routes to go for actually managing the stream itself. I could somewhat consider doing a two-PC build for streaming, but that would require a lot of reorganizing and transforming my main desktop into a streaming PC. At some point I will actually do that, but that'll likely be sometime in 2027 and will be quite an expensive undertaking given the current PC landscape.

Once I get things up and running I plan to craft a schedule to stream a few times a week playing a variety of games.

## Community Projects

One of my goals is to create a safe place for people to be able to chill out and relax. I do plan to build a community loosely around my streaming, but it'll definitely be more of a community rather than just being a place to talk about some random guy who has spent way too long on the Internet. Idea of the community is a chill place for adults to hang out and to make it a safe space for those who feel less valued in the current political climate. Unapologetically LGBTQIA+ safe and available to all allies that want to support those people.

At some point in the future I dream to start up a small game design / development studio that focuses on finding passionate people, giving them the resources and space they need to create, and craft beautiful experiences that are both challenging yet comforting. All built from creative visions without any of the current politics of "AI" or "Corporate Game Dev".

## Creative Endeavors

Over the next couple of years I plan to also work on some creative projects of my own. I'm spending a little bit of time getting into EDM production so I can craft soundscapes not just for my own gaming projects, but for the vibes of the stream as well. Some of my spare time is being spent checking out different DAWs on Linux and other tools that will help me craft those sounds, beats, and "noises" that I really enjoy. I want to craft the vibe to the feeling of the stream and to give space to people who are struggling, but moving forward.

Beyond that, I am also getting my creative writing going. I've been doing creative writing on and off for a very long time, but it's only been due to recent therapy that I have been able to control my focus to a point where I might actually be able to start posting my projects online for those interested in reading them. I am still trying to figure out how I want to do that in case there is any interest. A lot of it is going to be crafting unique worlds close to our own, but exploring them in ways that connect modern technology to the human condition and our own emotions.

## Gaming

Still trying to figure out what games I want to focus on in the short term. I have some for streaming, and some that I like to just play on my own. I've been playing a decent amount of In Falsus right now, but it's been difficult for me to play rhythm games. Work stress causes a condition in my left hand to flare up a bit where my pinky becomes twitchy. Games like In Falsus do need good pinky control for the left-side notes. It also messes with my hand positioning which is important due to the number of note lanes in the game; it's expected you will be using three fingers to control four lanes of notes.

I'm quite enamored with a couple of games being made by [LilChill Games](https://www.lilchillgames.com/). [Lowmoor Idle RPG: An Adventurer's Chronicle](https://store.steampowered.com/app/4977360/Lowmoor_Idle_RPG_An_Adventurers_Chronicle/) is a free 0-player incremental RPG that can be as hands-off as you want it to be. However, there are things you can do to help guide your adventurer on their path to the very end of whichever Module you're progressing through. It's a very interesting and fun game to have running in that background while even having the ability to make progress offline (after making some progress in the game).

On the other side of things is a game called [Dragon's Tear](https://store.steampowered.com/app/5307400/Dragons_Tear/) which is definitely a passion project crafting a similar vibe into a dungeon crawler with a traditional party system as well as multiple systems of progressing the characters to become seasoned dungeon divers. Really interesting art and writing here, giving the player control over a guild with a goal. Get to the bottom of the dungeon.

In my spare time I will also be diving back into some of my other rhythm gaming passions like BMS, Beat Saber, and even Pump It Up.
